HIKING.

Want some exercise while viewing some of the most beautiful sights in Colorado? Try hiking. We are located in San Isabel National Forest, within 2.8 miles of the Colorado Trail and trailheads to Mount Princeton and Mt. Antero. There are also lesser treks, such as Agnes Vaille Falls.

MOUNTAIN BIKING.

Nearby trails range from extremes to flats.  The resort is located in the heart of some of the best mountain biking in North America.  We are just down the road from the Colorado Trail and an easy drive from the famous Monarch Crest trail. Our partner Absolute Bikes in Salida can arrange a guided trip from mild to extreme. The St. Elmo Historic Bike Tour depart exclusively from the resort twice a week.

OFF-ROADING.

Mount Princeton is a great base location for all your off-roading entertainment. At the base of one of the classic loops in the lower 48, head up to St. Elmo and do a day trip through Tincup and back through Hancock. Conveniently located to hundreds of other off-road trails, our helpful staff will give you all the advice you’ll need to choose the off-roading experience that speaks to your interests. Our full-service gas station located on-site offers a convenient fill up!

RAFTING.

Mount Princeton is located near the Arkansas River. Let us help you arrange for half- or full-day trips down the beautiful Browns Canyon. The river is just four miles away from Mount Princeton. Mt Princeton guests save 10% with River Runners Colorado whitewater rafting.

SKIING CROSS COUNTRY.

Mount Princeton is just eight miles from the trail head of more than 1,000 miles of gorgeous, well-groomed cross country trails. Pass through twenty 14,000-foot mountains as you ski, enjoying the expertly packed trails groomed by Colorado’s experienced forest service. It will be an outdoor adventure you’ll not soon forget, and hope to return to! Ski rentals are available nearby.

SNOWMOBILING.

Bring your own snowmobile or ask us to reserve a high-quality snowmobile rental for your stay at Mount Princeton. The resort is eight short miles from the trailhead of over 1000 miles of snowmobiling and cross country trails. SPORT COURTS.

Mount Princeton offers a half-sized basketball court, a full-sized ATP-regulation tennis court, and all the equipment you’ll need free of charge. The base of our sport court is specially designed to be easy on the legs and knees. So play all you want!

STABLES.

Spend time in the saddle Colorado-style! Trail rides are provided by Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort Riding Stables. Rides range from 1 hour to day pack trips. All rides and pack trips are guided.
